Mum says she doesn't know who snores the loudest in our house, Dad or Me. Dad says Mum snores louder than both of us put together, but she says he's talking rubbish!

Well, Dad came home, and said he thought we at least should open the box to see what was in there, even if we didn't actually open anything properly. Well, I wasn't going to argue with that. And just look -

Talk about a haul - the box was full right to the top!

I wasn't sure which one to open first, but there was one that was coming undone so we opened that one, although we were a bit perplexed as to what it was. Dad thought it was a blanket at first, but it wasn't. Once Mum found and read the card, she realised what it was, and found all the bits. Dad was then tasked with putting it together.

I snoopervised, of course. And look, I got my very own Ham-Mick. And it had been liberally sprinkled with Nip.

I tried it for size, of course.

And I've still got lots of other stuff to open, and there's a present in their for Mum. Those guys over at Forty Paws have been so generous - thank you so much, again!!

My Secret Paws Package!!

OK, I know, same post as on the Secret Paws Blog. I did tell her she wouldn't get away with that, but she didn't listen!!

This morning, Mum went to the Post Office to pick up a package, and there was a bit of confusion. She gave the man the card, and he rummaged behind the counter and produced a box. He was looking a bit confused. He asked Mum what her name was, so she told him. He then said "are you sure?" Mum's looking at him like he's got two heads now, as obviously she knows what her own name is. Then he says "do you know what this is?" - seems he's not going to give it to her until she comes up with the right name. Then the penny drops. Oh, she says, it's for the cat, it will be addressed to the Big Fat Ginger Cat!! Obviously this is the right answer. By now, there are 8 people queued up behind her, all of whom are laughing. It's the cat's Secret Santa package, she says. More laughter! Mum comes home, very quickly.

Anyway, it's a big box, bigger than me even, and that's saying something. Mum woke me up to have a look.

It's a heavy box was well, so it must be full of lots of fantastic goodies.

I've had a good old sniff, but Mum won't let me open it right now. She says we have to wait for Christmas, or until Dad comes home, at least.

We've done a bit of detective work, so we know it's come from the gang at Forty Paws, all the way from Texas. So, a big big thank you to them for sending their package all this way.

Once Mum has let me open it, I will tell you all what's in it.

Boogie Mat

So, after I visited The Poupounette Gang and saw they had a Boogie Mat, I've been pestering Mum to get me one. Luckily, it didn't take too many headbutts until she gave in. I waited for her to take it out of the bag.

It's very funky, with tassels on the corners and comes with a bag of Nip. Most exciting.

I was keen to get at it, and didn't want to wait until Mum had taken it out of the packaging.

But she made me wait anyway. Warning, major cuteness follows.

Then, in I went!

Mum got it from Amazon, from a man called Jimbobs. However, when she tried to unzip the zip to get the nip out, it was stuck solid. Dad said he's open it, but I think that meant he'd break it. Anyway, Mum e-mailed Jimbobs, and he is a very good guy indeed. He said very sorry, we'll send you a new one, and please keep the one you have as well. So now I have two Boogie Mats.

All Christmassy!

Much excitement in our house this morning. Our Secret Paws package is all wrapped up and ready to go, we've posted about it on the Secret Paws Blog, and Mum has written and sent all the Christmas Cards. I did ask her why our cards don't have a picture of me on them, like some of the others I have already got, but she didn't seem to know the answer to that! Ours did have glitter on them, she says, so that must make up for it. I'm not so sure!

Anyway, after all the excitement, I needed a sit down.

I'm disguised, keeping an eye out for next door kitty, who keeps coming in and eating my treats! I'll share under duress.

New Blankie!

The BFGC is a lucky kitty, as I've got a new blankie. Actually, it's not a new blankie, it's been in the wardrobe since Mum and Dad got back from their holidays. It actually came off the plane, as Mum thought it was nice and fluffy and I'd like it. However, when she got it home I turned my nose up and wouldn't go anywhere near it. Now it's been in the wardrobe for a bit, it's all different now. Here's my blankie (with me on it, of course!).

I sat on it for so long yesterday that Mum couldn't make the bed. I didn't even move when the hairdryer came out.

You can tell Mum just woke me up.

Ok, Mum did cover me up for this one, but it was all warm and fluffy so I stayed there.

Very Important Paperwork

At the BFGC's house, we have had to do some very important paperwork. Namely, Dad's Tax Return. Mum said that he should do it because if he'd rung up the people at the Tax Office when she told him to he probably wouldn't of had to do one, but he didn't, so we did. Still with me?

In the end, Mum did most of it, and I helped, of course. First I cleared the desk.

Then I helped get all the papers out.

Then I checked to make sure the pen was working and didn't smell fully.

Then I double checked the pen again, just to be on the safe side.

Pen seems OK to me!!

Dad said I was a big help! Mum wasn't so sure.

Slack Mum!

My Mum has been so slack I can't even begin to tell you. I have no idea what she has been doing, but she definitely hasn't been helping me with my blogging, that's for sure! I may have to trade her in for a newer model - especially as she is always threatening to swap me for a black cat!! So, there's lots to catch up on.

Firstly, thank you everyone for all your well wishes. I have been back to the V-E-T, and had some kind of anti-inflammatory injection. The V-E-T thought this would wear off after a few days, but I haven't coughed since. So, we still have no clue what it was, but whatever she gave me seems to have done the trick, which is good news indeed.

On that subject, I am purring hard for GJ (Ginger Jasper), who is a bit poorly at the moment, so please go on over there and leave some purrs and headbutts for him.

Secondly, Mum has at least done something useful, and she's made my blog all ginger!! And just look at that picture of me at the top - am I not ginger cuteness on a plate (even if I say so myself)?

As for me, the excitement was all to much, so I went off to explore the garden. Unfortunately it was raining, so I came back a bit wet.

Mum didn't seem too pleased when I tried to sit on her cos she said my paws were all muddy! A lot of unnecessary fuss if you ask me.

Especially as I'm a big fat brave ginger cat who's not afraid of a bit of rain!

At least she says wet cat doesn't smell like wet dog! I have no idea what she is talking about.

Update and New Toys!

Firstly, many thanks to everyone who left comments, purrs and well wishes. The first lot of antibiotics didn't seem to do any good, so I had to go back to the Vet's yesterday where I got prodded, poked, had a very unpleasant encounter with that thermometer thingy and nearly got eaten by a big wet dog!! I've got some new antibiotics to try - the Vet said they were flavoured and I should just eat them, but I soon proved that theory wrong and they had to resort to spiking my prawns!. I've also had some extra strong wormy treatment, just in case.

Everything else is fine. I haven't lost any weight and am still demanding stinky goodness on a regular basis, and the business end at the back is all fine. It's just the cough. Mum says its like when you've got a cold and you wake up in the morning and just need to cough it all up - sorry, trying not to be too graphic there!!

The Vet's theories are:

a) Not asthma, as it would be very unusual to suddenly come on at my age.

b) Possibly lung worm - I've had some stuff for that.

c) Bit of a virus/chest infection - got some pink pills for that.

d) They are still not discounting something stuck in my nasal passages, even though they've had a good old rummage up there!

Apparently it's just a wait and see game! The good news is, however, that Mum was obviously feeling sorry for me so I got new toys!! She's such a pushover! They came this morning.

I had a good investigate of what was in the bag:

A good haul - two packets of Cosmic Puff Balls (my favourite and I've lost all the others), some crinkle balls, and, a Kong Duckie!! How cute is that?

It comes with a container of catnip, and you open the back and put the catnip in. Now, I'm oblivious to catnip - has no effect on me whatsoever after the first 2 seconds. I was really much more interested in the Kong Duckie before Mum took it out of the packet.

Anyway, she duly filled it with catnip, but it had no effect as you can see below. I really like the way Mum keeps putting her finger over the camera lens!

Don't worry Mum, Next Door Kitty will probably like it!

Mum needs some Advice

Puss' Mum here. The BFGC has been a bit poorly, and I'd appreciate some advice.

The BFGC started coughing nearly 3 weeks ago. It's a sneezy chesty cough, which sounds different from the sound you get when a cat is being sick, which is more stomachy - if you know what I mean. He's never been a cat to cough up fur balls, which is surprising considering the amount of time he spends licking himself! This will come on for no apparent reason - one minute he will be asleep, and the next he will be coughing. I have filmed him doing it (that really made me feel bad!) mainly so I had something to show the Vet.

So, of course, we took him to the Vet. The first time (without the video), the Boy-Vet had a good prod and poke, but said he was inclined to leave things to see if it settled by itself. It didn't, so a week or so later we went back.

This time we took the video and showed it to the Lady-Vet. She said his chest, etc, sounded clear, but managed to get him to cough whilst he was there when she was feeling his neck. She thought that he might have a bit of grass or something similar stuck behind his soft palate - this is quite common, apparently.

So, the following day, he went back to the Vets and was sedated. They had a good look at his throat and up his nose, and took x-rays of his chest. Everything looks fine - the x-rays were clear, apart from the fact they thought there was a bit more mucus in his nasal passages than they would have expected, although this wasn't discoloured in any way.

The BFGC has come home with some antibiotics, although the only way we can get him to take them is by crushing them into powder and coating prawns with it. He has been taking these since Wednesday, but is still coughing and there doesn't seem to have been any real improvement as yet, although maybe it is still a bit early.

He has to go back again on Tuesday, but obviously we're worried about him, and the coughing is quite distressing. In himself, he seems fine. He's eating normally, the business end at the back is fine, and he's doing all the things he would do normally. He sleeps a lot but no more than he usually does. He hasn't lost any weight at all.

The Vet mentioned heart worm, but we don't think that's it. There isn't heart worm in the UK due to the weather, and although he has been abroad, that was nearly 3 years ago and we feel sure we would have seen some other symptoms before now.

Our current feeling is maybe asthma, but we would appreciate some advice from the Kitty Blogosphere. Video follows:

The New Food

Finally, Mum got round to opening the new food the nice Sasha lady sent us. I got quite excited when the parcel arrived - after all, it's not often the BFGC gets post.

All parcels need inspecting closely, of course.

I knows there is something good in here.

The bag smells good, if nothing else.

I mean, it smells really good!

Mum was trying to do one of those product placement shots, but I kept getting in the way. Then she took the food out of the bad, but I was really disappointed as she wouldn't let me open it. If only I had thumbs!

Then, after all that, she took it away. I had to go and have a lie down to get over the disappointment.

I will find where she's hidden it, eventually.

Good News & Bad News

Apologies for no pics today - Mum's posting from her laptop via the dongle thingy!

First, the bad news. Yesterday, the BFGC got taken to the V-E-T. Mum was a bit worried as I'd been coughing. Well, not really coughing, but that's the only word she can think of to describe it. Like, you know when you're going to chuck up, you know you're going to chuck up, but this sounded like it was chesty.

So, I got bundled into the PTU and put into the boot of the car. Then, the indignity of it all. Strange boy VET prodded and poked, looked down my throat, and then did something most unpleasant with a thermometer. BFGC was not a happy kitty, especially as I'd pretty much stopped coughing by then. Anyway, the boy vet doesn't think it's anything serious and probably just a bit of fur ball action, but Mum's going to keep a close eye on me for the next few days.

The good news is that the Nutricat arrived from the nice Sasha lady. There was a bag of food, some info, and all in a nice little bag. I was very interested in the parcel - Mum has got some opening pictures for later (she's been a bit slack and not bought the camera) - and I had a good sniff, although Mum wouldn't let me open it. I am quite excited about trying it, especially as the boy Vet said I was too fat!! The cheek of it. However, I am slightly compensated by the fact that the nice Sasha lady thinks I'm cute - of course, I knew that already!!

The nice Sasha lady has also left a comment on the previous post, saying that if anyone else wants to try the new food, they should get their Mum's to get in touch. I won't put her e-mail address here - wouldn't want the nice Sasha lady to get inundated by spam e-mails for the rest of her life - but you know where to find it.

I would mention, though, that I am the only Big Fat Ginger Food Critic Cat round here!

The BFGC has Arrived!

We are very excited in the BFGC Household, as it seems the BFGC is on his way to being famous! I have received an e-mail from a very nice lady called Sasha, who wanted to know if I would trial a new cat food.

Of course, I said I would, as food is one of my most favourite things. Mum and Sasha have been conspiring, and it seems I am going to try the Light variety, as allegedly I am a bit bigger than I really should be, and Mums says it is difficult to get light cat food where we live, as there isn't much choice. I have tried Iams, which I liked, but apparently it really makes me stink!!

The nice Sasha lady is going to send me some, and I will report back. In the meantime, you can all read about Nutricat here - http://www.nutricat.com/. I've never been asked to try anything before, so am quite excited.

So, after all the excitement, BFGC is going for a lie down in the nearest sun puddle.

Mum's New Phone

So, Mum got a new phone which takes videos, which probably isn't very good news for the BFGC. So, this morning she took the first one, and after 3 goes managed to get it to show the right way up! It's then taken a further hour to figure out how to get the video off the phone and onto the computer, and then upload it. BFGC is wondering if it is really worth it.

So here I am, in all my glory, purring and getting some chinny scratches live on camera. You can tell she's waving her hand about to make it a bit more interesting, not that the BFGC in all his glory isn't interesting, of course!

Back to Normal

So, after a short, but nonetheless, enforced stay at the Kitty Spa, I am home again! Actually, I've been home for ages, but Mum's been a bit slack! I sulked for the required amount of time, and now everything is back to normal.

The banging has stopped, and Dad's made this.

I can't see any benefit for a BFGC, especially now they've blocked up the bit at the side I was using to get to the kitty door to the wild outside. In fact, I'm a bit concerned that I could get stuck out there, but Mum has been very good and has been leaving the door ajar. Kind of defeats the object a bit!

Still, It's a good game in the mornings. Sit by the door and complain. Dad comes along, opens the door - in fact, now he has to open two doors to let me out, as the BFGC won't use the kitty flap in the mornings. Wait till he's opened both doors, then I decide I don't want to go out at all, and stroll back inside. I usually get two or three goes at this before he give up!

Of course, I kept an eye on the proceedings, except when the big red sucky monster came out.

Not a Happy Kitty!

BGFC is not a happy kitty today. First, this arrived.

BFGC doesn't like it when they change stuff! Then, this happened!!!

What's going on? OK, it's only Dad, but what is he doing? There was sawing and banging and lots of noise, so BFGC retreated to the top of the stairs to sulk.

Not only that, I swear I heard Mum mention the Kitty Spa. BFGC is not a happy kitty!

So, Mum and Dad are back from their holidays, and I am back from the Kitty Spa. Actually, they have been back for over a week now, but Mum has been too lazy to let you all know I am home and OK.

Being at the Kitty Spa was exhausting, so the first thing i did was go for a nap!

This morning, this appeared.

The PTU!!! I went and hid behind the curtain. Then, I saw this.

It's a flat me!! It looks like me, only it's flat (and a lot smaller, I might add!). This isn't looking good.

Then, before I knew it, this happened! I'm trapped in the PTU. And they've packed me a bag!

I is not a happy kittty. Then, I was unceremoniously loaded into the van. The van, I ask you. At least they didn't put me in the Boot like last time.

So, Kitties. I am on my way to the Kitty Spa! The beans are going away on holiday to the Caribbean and are leaving me behind. They are taking Flat Me with them, but it's not the same, is it?

Identity Crisis Averted!

Thanks to everyone who commented about my identity crisis. I have, however, decided that it's not something that I really need to worry about, and the real bonus is that I won't have to go to the boat thing again. So, after much deliberation, I'm now going to be A Big Fat Ginger Cat. You'll notice that the blog title has changed. Mum is deliberating on whether or not to have an entirely new blog to reflect my important new status, but that may take a while to set up. Seems you can import the posts, but not any of the settings.

I am, of course, far too busy sleeping in my kitty cube to worry about all of this!

Being an internet legend is very tiring indeed.

No More Boat!

So, Kitties. Big news from this end. Mum and Dad have decided to sell the boat thing. Their plans have changed, and they are not really getting the use out of it that they should, and Dad says that it's too much money just to have sitting there. I'm not really fussed either way, as I've got much more important things to do like sleeping in sun puddles dreaming of bootiful ladies than going to the big boat thing where I don't even get my own chair!

And I'm a big fat ginger cat who isn't afraid of Dad's manky old shoes!

They think I'm not watching what's going on, but I'm keeping a close eye on things from here.

But, I've just realised. If there is no boat, then I can't really be Puss in Boats any longer. Will I need a new blog? Will I need a new name? Will my friends be able to find me again?

Change of Sleeping Arrangements

Now the weather is a bit warmer, I've abandoned my cushion in favour of sleeping elsewhere. It's always good to have a change, so I've been rediscovering my Kitty Condo and, of course, my Kitty Cube. I likes it when I sleep in the Cube, as mostly Mum and Dad don't notice I'm there and then have to spend time looking for me.

Much excitement at this end, as we've just heard about the tummy contest. It's not too late to join in, I don't think. As you kitties know, my tummy can attract the Snorgle Monsters from a fair distance. So, here's my entry.

I’m OK on the Big Boat

After having been in the PTU and in the car, I thought I’d better let you know I am OK on the big boat. I’ve spent most of today asleep on the bed and on Mum’s lap, and now am making good use of Mum’s chair. I even met the neighbours, albeit through the porthole.

It doesn’t look too traumatic, does it.

Mind you, if they start the engine and actually want to go somewhere, things might be different.

V-E-T Visit

So Kitties, I went to the V-E-T's. Mum was quite sneaky, hiding the PTU so I didn't see it until it was too late. Then she discovered Dad had gone off with her keys in his dinner bag, so she wasn't best pleased. He bought them back, but I had to stay in the PTU for ages, and we were late!

This time I saw the Man-V-E-T, or really, the Boy-V-E-T. He said "my, you're a big boy", like it was something we didn't already know, then he checked me over. He looked at my ears, eyes, and teeth, and had a good feel of my belly which I wasn't very impressed with. Luckily there was no sign of the thermometer. Apparently my teeth are quite good. Then I got weighed. It seems that at 8.2 kg (18 pounds), I am overweight. Kitties, I can't believe that.

Mum and the Boy-V-E-T had a lengthy discussion about my diet (I'm already on light food and that is weighed and measured to an inch of it's life before I get it), whilst I busied myself by shedding lots of ginger fur all over the Boy-V-E-T's surgery. Mum said I was very good, as I didn't put the bitey on the Boy-V-E-T once.

So, I am all fit and well, apart from being a bit too cuddly, but it doesn't end there. Mum came home with these. Do you see the size of those?

Giant worming tablets! I know I haven't got worms, and I am sure Mum knows I haven't got worms, but apparently I still have to take them. And I need to have 2 cos I'm extra cuddly. They don't look quite so bad out of the packet, but they are still big!

So, there I am, sitting on the sofa, minding my own business.

and Dad's going "look, kitty, what's this"? I'll have a look, just in case, but does he think I am stupid?

Nope, I'm not eating that.

I told you, I'm definitely not eating that.

Oh, OK, it seems that I am. I did put up a good fight, and kept spitting the tablet out, but he got it down in the end.

The indignity of it all!

The second pill they wrapped in a bit of corned beef, and cos I really really likes corned beef, I'd eaten that before I noticed it was there. I didn't fall out with Dad though, and he didn't seem to mind too much that I'd put the bitey on his finger.

So I'm good to go now for another year!

Kitties, I've been reprieved. The good news is Mum had to go to work this afternoon, so I couldn't go to the V-E-T's myself as I'm not allowed to drive the car on my own. The bad news is I'm sure I heard her re-arranging it for Friday morning, so I'm not out of the woods yet.

Catnapped – Part II

OK Kitties. I have to confess, it’s not as bad as it sounds. I knew something was going on, there was lots of running about and putting things into bags. Then the Prisoner Transport Unit (PTU came out. I made a break for behind the sofa, but mum was too quick for me and before I knew what was happening, I was bundled into the PTU and into the boot of the car. I wasn’t a happy kitty, and howled my displeasure all the way there.

So now I’m a prisoner on the big boat thing. I’ve spent the last day or so marching up and down looking displeased, but it doesn’t seem to be doing very good. Mum won’t let me out because I don’t know where I am. I can’t see out of the windows either, but they have let me out in the front where I can look out the front window. I can’t get out though, cos I’ve tried.

I have stopped hiding under the chair though. The big boat thing is full of funny smells and different noises.

The other problem is that there are only two chairs, which is not good when there are 3 of us. Every time one of them gets up, I leap into the vacant chair – and they are not really big enough to share.

The only reason there isn’t enough room is because there are too many cushions!

The bed isn’t too bad either, although the duvet makes a funny noise.

Fear not Kitties – I’m a big fat ginger brave cat.

Mum just wanted me to let you all know that I'm not still in the Dog (Cat) House after the bitey incident. We've all made up now - I knew she wouldn't hold out for long, and I've been a very good kitty all week. So much so that I got prawns. I think Dad was feeling a bit sorry for me, especially after they moved all the furniture in the lounge and my cushion went missing for a bit.

I likes prawns, even more than I likes Ham, or Corned Beef, and I really like Corned Beef. Dad even peels them for me, bless him! Well, I don't have any thumbs, do I?

Bad Kitty

I've been a bad kitty and am in the dog house - or should that be the cat house?

I was sitting on the sofa next to Mum last night like we usually do, and I'd been asleep (nothing new there). Then I woke up, got up and down off the sofa a couple of times, and then decided I wanted to sit on Mum's lap. She obviously wasn't too keen for some reason, I suppose 8 kg of fat ginger cat can get a bit heavy after a while, so she wouldn't let me sit on her. I was getting a bit frustrated by now, not getting my own way, so as she pushed me back with her arm, I bit her!

As soon as I'd done it, I knew I was in trouble. In fact, this dawned on me the instant i'd done it, but what to do? There I am with my teeth firmly embedded in Mum's arm - good job she was wearing a thick jumper. She didn't say or do anything, but just looked at me with that kind of look that makes a kitty know he's in trouble. So I let go, at which point I was shooshed off the sofa.

So now I don't know what to do. I tried rolling on my back and looking cute. I tried playing with my toys. I tried scampering about. I tried to sit on Mum's lap again, but she wasn't having any of it. She's not talking to me now and this morning even shut the bathroom door so I couldn't escort her to the toilet like I always do in the mornings. Now I know things are bad!

Will just have to sit on the bed for a while and hope she come's round soon.

A Big Box

Mum had a delivery, which came in a big box. Of course, us Kitties need to keep an eye on all boxes in the home, so I checked it out thoroughly.

I've been busy.

In our house, Mum piles up all my toys on my Kitty Condo (where I'm sat), and I knock them all off. So she puts them back, and I knock them all off again.

Sometimes I spread them around for good measure. Sometimes, though, this backfires, as I now can't find my 3 favourite fluffy balls. Will just have to get Dad to have another look under the sofa.

The Cube Lives!!

Now, I expect you're all wondering where I've been. Mum didn't lock me in the attic for killing my Kitty Cube, so that was OK. It's actually quite resilient, and has survived a lot more than we thought it would. I bring it down, and then Mum puts it back up again for me.

It's currently looking half-dead. I've even been hiding my toys inside it for good measure.

And of course, it's very important that you check underneath, in case any snorgle monsters are lurking. I do a lot of checking underneath.

In other news, Mum's got a cold and is not feeling her best. I've been trying to make her feel better by sitting on her and making biscuits at every opportunity - everyone knows that when you have a cold you need to have a stone of big fat ginger cat with very sharp claws on your lap at all times, but she doesn't seem too keen. I really can't understand that at all.

More Kitty Toys

I don't know about you kitties, but playing with all my new toys has left me exhausted. I think Mum's feeling a bit guilty about leaving me home all alone while they go to the boat thing, but I'd much rather be here with all my new stuff than have to go into the PTU and then into the boot of the car.

Anyway, back to my new toys. I got a Kitty Cube.

Dad was a bit scathing about the Kitty Cube, but there's lots of things you can do with it. You can play with the dangly things. You can drag the Cube around the room. And, of course, you can sit in it.

Dad and I played a good game for ages last night. He put all my toys inside the cube, and then I took them all out again. We played this for ages.

You can hide your toys underneath it as well. Dad doesn't think it will last very long!! I can't think why he thinks that?

See. I'm ready to pounce.

and it's also good for chewing on! It's no wonder I'm tired.

New Toys!

Mum bought me some new toys from Madcats, and the package arrived this morning.

I didn't know it was cat toys, but it certainly smelt interesting. I helped Mum open it.

It was full of cat toys. I got a Kitten Kong (even though I'm not a kitten anymore), but I liked that.

And then, I saw it. The Stinkie Fish!

I really really like the stinky fish! In fact, Mum thinks I went a bit funny. She's bought me catnip toys before, but I've not been that interested in them. This must be real catnippy catnip, cos I really like this one.

I got some other cool stuff too, but will save that for tomorrow!

Hello Friends. You'll have noticed that I've been absent of late, which is all due to my Mum. She says I haven't done anything interesting enough to blog about, but I can't believe that and think she's just making excuses. She has been severely told off, and has promised to try and do better.

So, Devon Grandma sent me a Christmas Card. You may remember that she also sent me a Christmas Card in July, but she says that this time she knows it was really Christmas. It was in a proper envelope with my name on and everything.

I had to check it out before I opened it.

Mum had to take it out of the envelope for me, but I helped.

There was a picture of a cat with a Captain's hat on - just like me! Dad thinks he's Captain of the boat thing, but we all know he's wrong about that and it's my job.

It was a very nice Christmas Card, although I was a bit disappointed there were no kitty treats in the envelope. However, Mum said that they would probably have gotten all squashed in the post, so she gave me some prawns to make up for it!

Too Much Yoga

Advent Calendar

I got a kitty advent calendar!! Here it is.

You can see I was quite interested. It's got little doors that you open, and inside is a mixture of milk drops and catnip drops. I've never had either before. Now, I know you're wondering that it's a bit late to start an Advent Calendar on the 10th December, but there is a reason for that. One of Mum's friends bought it for her cat, but her cat isn't interested in Christmas, so she thought I'd like it. So it's a second-hand advent calendar really, but it hadn't been opened, so alls good. So, I checked it out thoroughly.

And had a good sniff round.

Then Mum opened the first door, and inside were milk drops. They were yummy! It's funny that I don't like milk, but I like milk drops!

I nade light work of those.

Mum's going to swap my Kitty Sticks for the Advent Calendar.

I really really really like Kitty Sticks, but I wolf them down so quickly that 10 minutes later they come right back up again, and Mum doesn't think it's right that she gives me stuff that makes me sick. She's probably right.

I've got a New Bag!

Sometimes, I get bored of sleeping on the bed, or on my cushion. So, I found a new bag.

Now, Dad gets a bit nervous when I get into a bag - I only pee'd in a bag twice, once when I was little and once when I had just come home from the Kitty Quarantine Spa and hadn't figured out where my box was - so think that can be excused and don't think there is any need to mention it again. It seems like a very nice bag.

I may stay here for some time.

Never Again to the Boat Thing

My Mum is crafty! She knew I wouldn't want to go into the PTU, so quietly bought it downstairs whilst I was asleep. In fact, I didn't even notice it until I was unceremoniously picked up and bundled into it - yes, she's quick too!!

Then, they put me in the boot! Seems the little green car has run away to live with someone else, so they went in Dad's car. Don't panic, it wasn't really the boot, but it's a kind of hatchback thing, but I wasn't best pleased, and showed my displeasure by howling all the way.

At the boat thing, it didn't improve. It was cold. Dad made a lot of noise poking the black thing in the corner, which finally glowed orange and gave out some heat. When they had bought everything in, Mum let me out of the PTU, but I was desperate for a wee. I ran up and down, looking for my box, but couldn't find it anywhere. Finally, I found a bag of Dad's nicely ironed shirts - I have been known to pee in a bag once before - that I thought would do, but Mum caught me just as I was climbing in. Good job she knows me, as she quickly had the box out!.

I did try to sleep on the bed, but it was a bit cold, so spent most of the night on the rug in front of the fire. I don't like sleeping in my own really. They took my cushion, but it wasn't the same as when it's at home. I also got a bit box obsessed, and spent lots of time digging and moving my cat litter about, which drove Dad nuts. Mum said it was because the box was too close to everyone, but It was really a cunning plan on my part!

Dad now thinks I would be happier left at home. Finally!!

A Home for Moosie

Now, I know I am a lucky kitty. I was found in a cardboard box at the end of the street and my Mum & Dad took me in. I get big bowls of noms. I get to sleep on the bed. I've got the best cushion ever, lots of kitty friends and I know my Mum and Dad love me very much and will always look after me. I am a very lucky kitty. Some kitties are not so lucky.

Imagine what this poor sweet girl has gone through. First, her human up and leaves her for the Rainbow Bridge and then her brother had left her too. She’s 12 years young and is distraught about this turn of events. She is a kind soul who loves to love and be loved. She loves to have her gorgeous fur combed too.

Moosie has a Christmas wish. Moosie really, really, really would love to have a nice retirement home. She would be totally delighted. As a matter of fact, that is the ONLY THING on her Christmas list. She’s having a hard time believing in miracles these days, it just seems that nobody wants her. She’s hopeful that a Christmas miracle can happen. Will you help find Moosie a home for Christmas? Good News & Bad News

Firstly, happy Thanksgiving to all my American Friends!

Blogging has been a bit slow in our house this week due to other things. There is good news and bad news.

The good news is that Dad has fixed my kitty condo (actually, he did that a couple of weeks ago, but I forgot to tell you).

He did quite a good job, well, as best as he can, although the side still looks a bit iffy! I have given it a bit of stick though, so can't really complain.

The bad news is the boaty thing. This is the boaty thing.

Mum and Dad went away last weekend and moved the boaty thing - Dad wasn't best pleased when he got home. Apparently the current was too strong, it was freezing cold, dark, and someone threw a brick at them at Worcester. That doesn't sound good to me at all. I stayed home in the warm and spent the whole weekend on my cushion, which was much more fun.

Anyway, now the boaty thing is moved and is a lot easier to get to, apparently when they go for the weekend I have go with them, as they think I don't like being left home alone That means going in the Prisoner Transport Unit and in the car!! What about my cushion? What about my noms? I is going to hide under the sofa and hope they don't notice me!

I is not a happy big fat ginger kitty!!

Now, you all remember my cushion disappeared? Well, as mysteriously as it vanished, it has returned!

I know you were all worried about it going into the washing machine, and how it would come back without any kitty fur or kitty smells on it. To be honest, I like a nice clean cushion, in the same way I like to sleep on the ironing, or whatever outfit Mum has laid out on the bed ready for work. Thing's are just not the same unless there's a layer of kitty hair all over it.

Anyway, here's my cushion, back safe and sound. Of course, I was straight onto it, to make sure it had been washed correctly.

Seems I have turned into a yellow eyed monster! There's no option for yellow eye removal on iPhoto, apparently. I'll just carry on re-furring my cushion.

Vandalisation

I don't think it was Next Door Kitty, as has been mentioned previously, she always eats and runs. Dad won't be very happy, as he'll have to stick it all down again.

Don't worry Dad, I'll keep watch for kitty condo vandalising introoders.

Gone!

When I came back in from checking the perimeter this morning, I strolled across the living rom, only to notice out of the corner of my eye that something terrible has happened. Can you guess what it is?

You guessed it yet? That's right. My cushion has vanished! I sat on the rug for a while, not quite sure what a kitty with a lost cushion should do. This is actually the rug in the hall, which isn't very good for sitting on, but on the plus side it's near my noms.

Then Mum told me she'd put it in the washing machine. I don't know what a washing machine is, but it doesn't sound good. Apparently she's been trying to get it out from underneath me for ages, but I'm always sitting on it. Wednesday was a good opportunity, she says, because I always spend Wednesdays underneath the sofa hiding from the dustbin lorry. I wasn't very impressed with that at all.

So, what's a cushionless kitty to do? This:

Dewey the Library Cat

Mum has a copy of the Dewey book that she's just finished. She got a bit teary at the end and I had to go and sit on her lap for a while. If anyone hasn't read it and would like it, just let me know. Mum would be happy to Paw it Forward.

Important Jobs

Now, you kitties all know that we have very important jobs to perform around the house. We have to check the perimeter every morning for introoders. We have to snoopervise the general day to day running, etc, etc. You kitties all know what I am talking about.

Today, I have two very important extra jobs. Firstly, rug guarding.

Now, you might think I'm asleep, but I'm not. Here's proof. You wouldn't catch me napping on the job.

Secondly, an even more important responsibility. Can you guess what it is?

Need a clue? Mum, what happened to the top of my head??

That's right. I'm the official remote control warmer!

Whenever they can't find the remote, Dad says "is it under the cat?" I take my responsibilities very seriously!

And another thing - less of the cranky pants!!!

Now, I know some of you may think that I don't like Next Door Kitty, but actually, she's kinda cute. She has taken to just waltzing into the house, and I did get a bit upset yesterday when

a) she sat on my cushion, and

b) she tried to get into my Kitty Condo, and

c) she went upstairs in search of the bed.

I did get a bit upset about that, and we had to have words. Anyway, here's proof that I don't mind sharing with Next Door Kitty. Here we are treat sharing.

It does seem, however, that Next Door Kitty isn't very worldly wise when it comes to the flashy box. I don 't think she knew what to make of it all, but managed to pose for a cute close up. Don't you just hate that?
